Rubicon currently has the openings for the following position(s):

POSITION TITLE: Senior Engineer

POSITION DUTIES: Perform subsurface investigations at sites with complex hydrogeology involving a variety of contaminants including petroleum and chlorinated hydrocarbons, metals, PCBs, 1,4-dioxane, and perchlorate. Perform remedial design including soil vapor extraction, air sparging, ground water extraction with treatment utilizing air stripping and carbon adsorption. Develop planning documents for CERCLA and RCRA sites. Plan and perform indoor air investigations. Prepare Remedial Investigation/Feasibility Study documents. Conduct cost allocation among multiple responsible parties. Provide litigation support through engineering consulting. Perform cost estimating. Obtain various types of permits (encroachment, excavation, well installation/abandonment, USTs, SCAQMD, CEQA, NPDES). Negotiate with DTSC, RWQCB and various county regulatory agencies in California. Take hydrogeologic data and build a ground water and contaminant transport model (using programs TDAST and RESSQ), calibrate and evaluate results. Perform Geotracker electronic reporting and Phase I Environmental Site Assessments. Employ AutoCAD, ArcView 9.1, and Microsoft Project as needed. Manage projects including budgets, schedules, staff, and client/agency interaction. Train and mentor junior staff. Develop new business and make client presentations.

REQUIREMENTS: B.S. Civil Engineering, or equivalent, plus 10 years environmental consulting experience and California P.E. license (civil). 10 yrs. must include: 1)10 yrs. experience in subsurface investigation, including complex hydrogeology and contaminants. 2)7 yrs. experience in remedial design, investigation and feasibility study documents. 3)5 yrs. experience developing planning documents for CERCLA and RCRA sites, and complying with permit and other regulatory requirements. 4) 7 yrs. experience using AutoCAD, ArcView 9.1, and MS Project.

SALARY: $78,541 - $98,177 per year
